LEED Canada for Homes, launched by the Canada Green Building Council [CaGBC] in March, applies to single-family homes of any size, and to multifamily homes of up to three storeys [with a pilot for projects up to six storeys].

LEED Canada for Homes was developed by the CaGBC with input from 50 residential builders and project teams across Canada. The builders and Project teams said they wanted a simple but rigorous rating system with few forms, low registration costs, and quick certification time. The result is a streamlined system, with only three forms, registration starting at only $215 for single family and $700 for multifamily buildings, and certification time typically in three weeks from submittal.
